Are payments safe? Yes, the payment system is based on the latest technology. It offers 256-bit SSL encryption to protect your data; it is Level 1 PCI DSS compliant (the highest level of certification available); and it is also 3D secure. Additionally, you can also opt to use PayPal or Google Pay, if you prefer those services.
Can I return the print, if I am not happy with it? Yes, you have up to 14 days to return a print for a full refund.
Why are the large prints much more expensive than the smaller ones? As those editions are large and limited, the pricing reflects both the higher cost to produce them (large prints can get very expensive to produce) and their limited volumes. All limited editions will only be printed until the limit is reached. After that, no more prints will ever be made. Typically these large editions are limited to nine copies plus one artist proof. Additionally, these series won several international awards and were exhibited in numerous locations globally.
Are those images difficult to make? There is typically a large amount of research that precedes a project. Then, once the key questions are addressed, the actual execution can take several weeks from beginning to end (including the inevitable failures encountered along the way!). Sometimes months. And occasionally, years. Some of the projects require a technique called focus stacking, which means that several individual shots are stacked together to produce the final image. This is required at extreme magnification levels, where the depth of field is so thin that each shot has only a very thin area in focus and the rest of the image is out of focus. In those instances, the final image is the result of hundreds individual shots.
Can I ask questions before I buy? Of course. We are here to help. Please use the "Contact" link in the menu at the top of this page.
Can I see examples of prints? Yes, you can find examples in the "Some real-life examples" section, which you can access from the menu at the top of this page.
Why are frames so expensive? The frames offered here are all hand made and taylor made by technicians hand picked by me. They are all made in the UK to measure and they adhere to the highest standards of quality to ensure that they last a lifetime and that they maximise your enjoyment of the prints. All the above comes at a cost and it is intended to provide you a museum-quality product that you can enjoy for life.
Do I need to buy your frames? Absolutely not. If you prefer to utilise your own framer, you can simply buy the print-only versions (unframed).
Why don't your frames have mounts (or passepartout)? I like my work to have minimal interference. In fact, ideally, I would like no frame at all. For practical reasons a frame with a protective glass ensures the longevity of the work and hence I offer framed work for that reason. Of course, if you really want a mount we can do that for you or, indeed, you can buy the unframed print and frame it in whichever way you like.
Is the glass that you use in the frames anti reflective? Yes, indeed. The glass is museum-quality anti reflective, ensuring minimal interference with how light interacts with the prints.
Do you ship outside of the UK? Yes, we ship worldwide, utilising our network of couriers.
Where are you based? In London, United Kingdom.
